A wide brass cone with a hand-applied patina, suspended from a chain so it throws a tight, downward pool of light. The patina turns bright metal into a darker, mottled surface, and because it is worked by hand, each cone carries its own tone and markings.
The bulb sits high inside the shade, keeping it hidden from anyone seated nearby while the light lands squarely on the table or counter beneath. The rest of the room stays dim, so in larger spaces it pairs well with other ambient sources.
Details
- Material: spun brass with a patinated finish
- Dimensions: 46 cm (18.1") diameter, 43 cm (16.9") height
- Chain: 40 cm (15.7"), giving an overall drop of about 83 cm (33") from the ceiling; length is set during installation
- Light source: one E27 bulb, warm white LED at 2700K recommended; bulb not included
- Weight: approximately 3 to 4.5 kg (6.6 to 9.9 lb)
- Installation: hardwired and wired for your local voltage; installation by a licensed electrician is advised
- Use: indoors only
- Sizing: a single cone suits a round or square table about 75 to 100 cm (30 to 39") across, a reading chair or a bar. For a long table or island, hang two or three in a line spaced 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") center to center
- Hanging height: place the rim 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the surface; the standard drop works over a dining table with ceilings near 2.4 to 2.5 m (8 to 8.2 ft)
Care
Turn the light off and give the bulb time to cool first. Wipe away dust using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, cleaning products and metal polish, as any of these can remove the patina and leave marks on the brass.
