Who This Warranty Applies To

Original Purchaser This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser of products bought directly from Marcelina Furniture Studio — online or in-store. It is non-transferable.
Residential Use Only Coverage is valid for residential use only. Commercial, institutional, hospitality, or rental use voids this warranty immediately.
Hospitality & Commercial Products Furniture commissioned for hotels, restaurants, offices, retail, or other commercial environments is covered under the same warranty periods — 18 months for upholstered pieces, 3 years for solid wood and rugs — provided use complies with the specification agreed at the time of order. High-traffic or non-standard use beyond the agreed brief may affect coverage at our discretion.
Proof of Purchase Original invoice or receipt is required for all warranty claims. Claims submitted without proof of purchase will not be processed.
Warranty Start Date Coverage begins on the confirmed delivery date to the original purchaser's address.

What Is Covered

Solid Wood FrameStructural cracks, splits, or joint separation in the internal frame that impair function and are attributable to manufacturing defect — not misuse or environmental exposure.
Foam & Cushion FillingSignificant and permanent sagging, loss of resiliency, or breakdown of high-density foam or cushion filling occurring within 6 months of delivery under normal use.
Springs & WebbingBreakage or detachment of internal springs or webbing that causes visible loss of support — indicating a manufacturing defect.
Upholstery SeamsUnravelling seams, torn stitching, or significant fraying of fabric edges occurring under normal use due to faulty manufacturing.
Fabric DefectsSevere pilling not caused by external friction, significant fiber shedding, or unexpected deterioration clearly attributable to a manufacturing flaw. Initial colour fastness issues present at delivery.
Structural JointsSeparation or loosening of factory-assembled joints, legs, arms, or structural components under normal residential use.
Wood & Finish DefectsBubbling, peeling, or cracking of applied finish on visible wood components that was present at or shortly after delivery. Excludes natural grain variation, knots, and normal patina development.

What Is Not Covered

Normal Wear & TearGradual cushion compression, fabric fading, pilling from regular use, wood patina, and minor surface abrasions over time.
StainsAny staining or discolouration from food, beverages, body oils, hair products, chemicals, solvents, or any foreign substance.
Environmental ExposureDamage from direct sunlight, UV radiation, excess humidity (mould, mildew, warping), extreme dryness, or temperature fluctuations. This is particularly relevant in tropical climates.
Pet DamageScratches, chewing, tears, urination, or odour caused by pets of any kind.
Improper CareDamage resulting from abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, solvents, over-wetting, or failure to follow MFS care instructions.
Accidental DamageImpacts, drops, cuts, burns, rips, punctures, or any physical damage caused by accident or misuse.
Unauthorised ModificationsAny alteration, repair, reupholstery, or modification carried out by a third party not authorised by Marcelina Furniture Studio.
Visual VariationsNatural characteristics of materials — wood grain, knots, mineral streaks, dye lot variation, fabric texture — are not defects and are not covered.

Product Representation & Natural Variations

All images and visual representations of Marcelina Furniture Studio products — on our website, social media, or in our showroom — are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may differ from digital depictions due to screen calibration, photography lighting, and the inherent characteristics of natural materials.

Colour DiscrepanciesSlight differences in hue or saturation due to screen settings or studio photography lighting are not manufacturing defects.
Texture & FinishSubtle variations in fabric weave, wood grain, or finish sheen between the product shown and delivered are inherent to natural materials.
Natural CharacteristicsWood grain patterns, knots, burls, mineral streaks, and textile fibre variations are hallmarks of authenticity — not flaws.
Dye Lot DifferencesMinor variations between production batches or dye lots for fabrics and finishes are a normal characteristic of manufacturing.
