Restaurant furniture has to survive what homes never see, constant traffic, cleaning, and demanding, humid climates. We build on hardwood and metal frames with high-density foam and commercial, wipe-clean, fire-safe upholstery, so your fit-out still looks sharp years in.

Booths and banquettes, built to the floor plan

Banquette seating is where a fixed catalogue fails hardest: the run has to follow your wall, wrap the corner, split around a column or step down a level, and a standard three-seat unit will not do any of that. We build to your plan, seat depth, back height, buttoning, base detail and upholstery specified by you, and issue drawings for approval before anything is cut.

Seat heights, spacing and covers

Comfort and covers-per-square-metre come down to a handful of numbers. Dining: a 75 cm table with a 45–47 cm seat. Counter: a 90 cm surface with a 65 cm stool. Bar: 105–110 cm with a 75 cm stool. Leave 25–30 cm between the seat and the underside of the table, allow about 60 cm of table edge per cover, and keep 90 cm of clearance where staff pass behind seated guests. Materials that survive service

Front of house is a cleaning problem before it is a design problem. We specify solution-dyed acrylics and olefins where there is sun, spillage or frequent cleaning, the colour is locked into the fibre, so repeated cleaning does not bleach it, and contract vinyls or leathers for booths that get wiped down between covers. Frames are corner-blocked and reinforced at the seat, and foam is specified by density for the turnover you actually run, not for a showroom sit-test.

Terraces and outdoor covers

Outdoor seating lives or dies on material choice: teak or powder-coated aluminium frames, marine-grade stainless fixings, HDPE weave, and solution-dyed acrylic over quick-dry foam so cushions drain rather than hold water. Read what lasts outdoors and what fails before specifying.

What makes furniture "commercial grade" or "contract grade"?

Contract-grade means the piece is built for continuous public use rather than domestic use: heavier frame sections and corner-blocked joinery, reinforced seat frames, higher-density foam that keeps its shape through daily turnover, and fabrics rated for far higher abrasion than residential upholstery. A domestic-grade chair in a busy dining room typically fails at the joints within a year or two.

Can you build booths and banquettes to fit our floor plan?

Yes, banquettes are the clearest case for made-to-measure. We build to your floor plan, including runs that follow a wall, wrap a corner, split around a column or step down a level, with the seat depth, back height and buttoning specified by you. Send the plan and we will draw it to your dimensions before anything is cut.

What upholstery holds up to restaurant service?

Solution-dyed acrylics and olefins for anything exposed to sun, spills or heavy cleaning, the colour runs through the fibre rather than sitting on it, so it survives repeated cleaning without fading. Vinyls and contract leathers wipe down well for booths. We avoid loose weaves and delicate naturals in service areas. Tell us the cleaning regime and we will specify to it.

Can you match our designer’s scheme or our existing furniture?

Yes. Send drawings, a finish schedule, or COM fabric direction and we build to it. If you are replacing part of a room, we can match wood tone, stain and profile to what is already there.

How long does a restaurant fit-out take?

Production runs about 10–16 weeks depending on volume and materials, plus delivery. For a fit-out, order once the layout is frozen and schedule installation after floors and paint are complete. If you are working to an opening date, tell us the date and we will work backwards from it.

Do you supply terrace and outdoor seating?

Yes, and for outdoor service the material choice matters more than the design. Teak or powder-coated aluminium frames, marine-grade stainless fixings, HDPE weave and solution-dyed acrylic on quick-dry foam. See what actually lasts outdoors.

Can we order matching pieces later as we expand?

Yes. Because we manufacture in our own factories and keep your specification on file, additional or replacement pieces can be built later to the same drawings, materials and finish.
