On either side, dark abstract landforms build up in heavy layers, scraped and worked with a palette knife until they read like weathered stone, eroded banks or old plaster walls. The result is quiet and moody, more a feeling of stillness and distance than a literal view.
The surface is painted by hand with genuine raised texture, so it changes as light moves across it during the day. Deep black and charcoal sit against misty grey, warm white and faint touches of taupe and earthy brown. - Once a custom order is confirmed and production begins, changes to dimensions cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional fees.
