This beige rattan chandelier is built from five stacked drum bands that swell at the middle and taper toward both the crown and the bottom, giving it a soft, rounded silhouette. It hangs from a round canopy on a link chain, both in a gentle bronze tone that pairs well with the pale, near-raw color of the fiber. The light shade sits comfortably beside white oak, linen, stone and white walls, and it suits coastal and Scandinavian rooms especially well.
The bands use an open basket weave, so light escapes through the gaps as well as through the rattan itself. When lit, the shade glows much like a paper lantern and scatters a woven pattern over nearby walls and ceiling. Treat it as ambient lighting; above a busy kitchen island, plan for separate task lights too. Since the weave is done by hand, expect small differences in spacing and tension from one shade to the next.

Choosing a Size
- The 28" size fits bedrooms, entryways and round tables roughly 39 to 51" across
- The 40" size fits living rooms, open-plan areas and dining tables 71" long or more
- Over a table, place the bottom band 30 to 35" above the tabletop
- Over a walkway, leave at least 7 ft of clearance underneath
Care
Remove dust with a soft, dry brush, or use a vacuum set to low suction with a brush head. Do not let water or cleaners touch the rattan. Intended for dry indoor rooms only.
