Tall, dark cypress trees rise along the right side of this vertical abstract landscape, their slender flame shapes painted in deep navy and forest green. Below them, broad sweeps of vivid magenta spread across the canvas like fields or still water, edged with ribbons of metallic gold that curve and flow toward the lower corner. A low band of green shrubs and a single cypress sit on the far horizon, and a thin line of distant land meets a soft peach and cream sky.
The brushwork is loose and confident, with long horizontal strokes that leave visible streaks and blended edges. Blocks of ochre and blush pink float in the upper sky, balancing the saturated pink below. The mix of bold color, dark vertical forms and gold accents gives the piece a lively, warm energy that suits a living room, dining room or entryway.
