This tall chandelier is built around a frame of hand-forged curves that sweep upward and outward, each one holding a globe of hand-blown opal glass. The milky white glass diffuses light evenly, so every globe reads as a soft, glowing sphere. Since each globe is blown by hand, you will see slight differences in size and shape from one to the next.
The light it gives is ambient rather than directional, spreading gently across a room instead of pooling below. It suits a dining room, an entrance hall or a living room with generous ceiling height, and it shows best in a double-height space where it can be seen from below and from the side. Over a kitchen island or a desk, plan on task lighting alongside it.
Warm white lamps at 2700K give the opal glass a soft ivory tone. Cooler lamps turn it blue-white, so warm light is truly part of the look here.
