This set of two square canvases follows a lone rider and horse along the edge of the water. In the first, a rider in a wide-brimmed hat and pale shirt sits tall on a honey-and-cream horse that steps through shallow water, with blue mesas stretching behind and a sky of swirling cream and gold clouds above. In the second, a rider in a white hat moves at a brisk trot along a wet beach, the chestnut horse kicking up spray as the low sun breaks through violet and peach clouds over rolling surf.
The paint is laid on thickly with visible knife-like strokes, giving the clouds, waves and splashing water a raised, sculpted surface that catches the light. Deep blues, warm ochres, rust browns and soft lavender carry across both panels, so the pair reads as one story of movement and open air. Hung side by side, they bring warmth and energy to a living room, entryway or study.

- Once a custom order is confirmed and production begins, changes to dimensions cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional fees.
- Marcelina Furniture Studio is not liable for items that do not fit the intended space due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
