This vertical abstract is built from irregular, interlocking panels, each with its own carved surface. Slate gray pieces carry chevron grooves, fine vertical lines and concentric rings like the cross section of a tree, while a pale panel in the upper right is pressed with a neat honeycomb pattern. At the center, a band of white crackles into fine fissures and soft rippled ridges, tying the surrounding shapes together.
The palette stays cool and quiet: charcoal and slate, deep navy, sage green and chalky white, with small flashes of teal and rust peeking through the green patches. The thick, raised paint gives every panel real depth, and the play of smooth swipes against tight patterns makes the piece reward a closer look. It suits a calm living room, a study or an office where texture matters more than bright color.
