A still forest lake under an overcast sky, painted with real texture and a restrained, misty palette. Dark charcoal and blue-green trees crowd both shorelines and cast soft reflections into the water, while the center opens into pale gray, muted blue, ivory and taupe where sky, water and distant land blur together.
The appeal here is atmosphere rather than detail. Palette-knife texture runs through the sky, rocky banks, forest and water, giving the surface a tactile quality up close. The horizontal format sits well above a sofa, fireplace, sideboard or long console, and the calm subject suits bedrooms and reading rooms. It pairs naturally with oak, walnut, linen, travertine and quiet black accents in organic modern, Japandi, Scandinavian, minimalist and transitional rooms.
