This vertical seascape looks down on the coast from above, where pale blue water folds into ridges of white foam and gives way to soft stretches of sand. Instead of a far horizon, the eye lands right on the surf, following each wave as it curls and breaks along the shore.
Heavy palette-knife work builds raised crests of white paint that read as foam, set against finer linear marks in the calmer water. Side light picks up the relief and casts small shadows, so the surface shifts through the day. The palette stays gentle: ice blue, sky blue, ocean blue and blue-gray, warmed by ivory, cream and sandy beige. It sits comfortably with oak, walnut, linen, travertine and other natural materials. Because the painting is done by hand, expect small differences in texture and foam edges from the image, while the composition and colors stay true.
