Bright threads of yellow run through this vertical abstract like light finding its way across a clouded sky. Fine, tangled lines of glowing gold branch and ripple from the upper right corner down through the center, while soft veils of gray, misty lilac and pale aqua drift behind them. Patches of deep teal and navy anchor the upper left and lower right, giving the brighter passages something to push against.
Touches of burnished ochre and metallic gold appear in scattered, weathered patches, as if worn into the surface. The brushwork moves between broad, cloudy washes and quick, hair-thin strokes, so the painting feels calm from across the room and full of energy up close. It suits an entryway or living room where a lively burst of warm color against cool tones is welcome.
