A broad, shallow disc of handmade washi paper stretched over bamboo ribs, this pendant reads as a pale, quiet shape by day. Switched on, the paper becomes a gentle halo, with the ribs tracing fine shadow lines across its surface. It sits naturally in Japandi, minimalist and wabi-sabi interiors.
Washi is a long-fibered paper that is strong for its weight and lets light through softly. Because each shade is formed by hand, you will see small differences in texture and fiber from one to the next, a natural trait of the material. The paper fully diffuses the lamp inside, so there is no hot spot visible from below, and the wide disc spreads even, low-glare light across a generous area. A warm 2700K lamp brings out the paper's glow, while cooler light tends to make it look flat and gray.
At this size it pairs well with a large round or rectangular dining table of roughly 59 to 87 in (150 to 220 cm), with the lower edge hung 30 to 35 in (75 to 90 cm) above the tabletop. It can also serve as the main light in a living room or bedroom on a shorter drop. Over a walkway, allow at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance beneath it.

Dust gently with a soft, dry brush. Keep the shade away from moisture, steam and direct heat, which rules out bathrooms and placement directly above a cooktop.
