A Studio Built for Professionals
Marcelina works directly with architects, designers, and FF&E specifiers across Panama and the United States. Trade accounts, co-design, and a dedicated project team, built around the way professionals actually work.
Not a supplier. A studio partner.
Most furniture suppliers treat professionals like retail customers, catalogue pricing, no flexibility, and no one who understands a set of drawings. Marcelina is built differently. We work from your specifications from day one, understand construction timelines and material lead times, and integrate into your workflow, not the other way around.

How the trade programme works
We work with architects, interior designers and FF&E specifiers as the maker behind the scheme, you own the client relationship and the design, we build the pieces to your drawings and deliver them installed. Because we manufacture in our own factories rather than reselling someone else’s catalogue, there is no showroom markup between your specification and the workshop, and no minimum order to qualify for trade pricing.
What a trade partner gets
- Trade pricing on every made-to-order piece, with no minimum and no stock to hold.
- Build to your drawings, plans, elevations, finish schedules, COM and COL accepted.
- Drawings and renders for your presentations, so you can show the client the piece before it exists.
- Physical samples of wood, stone and fabric for specified projects.
- Priority scheduling against your programme, with the install date driving the production date.
- One point of contact from approval through delivery and snagging.
Specifying with us
Send what you have, a plan and a finish schedule, a render, or just a sketch and a dimension. We come back with dimensioned drawings, a material proposal and an all-in price including delivery and duties. You approve the drawing, the dimensions and the finish before anything is cut; once materials are cut, changes may no longer be possible, which is exactly why we confirm in writing first.
Scheduling against a construction programme
Furniture is usually the last thing scheduled and the first thing rushed. Production runs about 10–16 weeks depending on materials and volume, so the sequence that protects your handover is: specify during design, order once drawings are frozen, build while the space is being finished, and install after paint and flooring. Give us the handover date and we work backwards from it. See the full construction timeline for furniture.
Delivery, duties and installation
We ship DDP with duties prepaid, so your client never receives a customs bill or brokerage paperwork. Delivery is white-glove: crated and insured, carried in, assembled, placed and unpacked, with snagging resolved before sign-off. Details on delivery and import duties.
Project types we take
Single statement pieces for a residential scheme, whole-home packages, and contract work: hotel and hospitality, restaurant and bar, office and workplace, and full FF&E packages.

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer trade pricing for interior designers and architects?
Yes. Trade partners buy at a trade price on every made-to-order piece, with no minimum order and no requirement to hold stock. Because we manufacture in our own factories rather than reselling, the trade margin comes out of our production price rather than being added on top of a retail markup.
Can you build to my drawings and specification?
Yes, that is the normal way we work with the trade. Send plans, elevations, a finish schedule and any COM/COL fabric direction and we build to them. If the design is still forming, we work from your sketch or brief and issue drawings for approval. Nothing is cut until you sign off.
Do you provide drawings and renders for client presentations?
Yes. Trade partners receive dimensioned drawings and renders of the proposed pieces to present to their own clients, so you can show the finished scheme before committing to production.
Can I use my own fabric (COM) or specify a particular finish?
Yes. We accept customer’s own material, and we work to a specified stain, finish, stone or metal. If you send a reference or a sample, we match to it and confirm with photographs before production.
Can I get material and finish samples for a client presentation?
Yes, for specified projects we send physical wood, stone and fabric samples so you and your client can see them in the actual space and light before approving.
What are lead times, and can you work to my project programme?
Production runs about 10–16 weeks depending on materials and volume, plus delivery. Tell us the installation or handover date and we schedule backwards from it, ordering while the space is being finished and installing after paint and flooring.
Who manages the build and the installation?
One point of contact for the whole project: drawings and approvals, production updates, shipping, and white-glove installation. Pieces are crated, insured, carried in, assembled and placed, and we ship DDP with duties prepaid so your client never sees a customs bill.
Do you work with designers outside Panama?
Yes. We deliver to the United States and internationally, duties prepaid, and most trade projects are run remotely, drawings, approvals and material selection by email and WhatsApp. There is no requirement to visit a showroom.
What warranty applies to trade orders?
The same as everything else we build: 18 months against defects in materials and workmanship, extended to 3 years on solid-wood pieces. Because we hold your specification on file, matching or replacement pieces can be produced later from the same drawings.
How do I open a trade account?
Apply through our trade application and tell us about your practice and a current project. Once your account is open you get trade pricing, drawings and renders for presentations, sample support, priority scheduling and a single point of contact.
