This pendant pairs a broad, shallow silhouette with a woven shade of abaca, a sturdy natural fiber drawn from the leaf stalks of a banana relative. Because the weave is done by hand, its texture varies slightly from shade to shade, and the fiber keeps its own undyed color. It is also light, so even the widest size is manageable to hang.
With a warm white 2700K lamp inside, the abaca turns a honeyed gold and scatters patterned light across ceiling and walls. Cooler bulbs tend to flatten the fiber to a dull gray, so warm light is the intended pairing. Light filters through the open weave for ambient glow and also drops through the open bottom to pool on the surface below. For an island or desk, plan on supplementary task lighting.

- 30 cm: a bedside, a compact hallway, or clustered in threes above an island
- 40 cm: a reading nook, a small table, or lined up over an island
- 60 cm: round or square tables roughly 110 to 150 cm (43 to 59") across
- 80 cm: tables roughly 150 to 200 cm (59 to 79"), or centered in a living room
- 100 cm: long tables, generous living rooms, or tall ceilings

Care
Turn the light off and give the bulb time to cool before cleaning. Remove dust with a soft brush, or use a vacuum set to low suction with a brush head. Avoid moisture entirely, since water can mark the fiber and weaken the weave.
