Shadowed Horizon is a hand-painted panoramic abstract built from bands of deep charcoal and matte black that open onto a glowing center of champagne beige, bronze brown and antique gold tones. Horizontal strokes run across the canvas like a low line of light breaking through dusk, and the lower edge of that bright field crumbles away like weathered plaster or stone.
At a distance the composition reads as bold and architectural. Up close it becomes quieter and more tactile, with palette-knife marks, scraping, fine cracks, subtle raised areas and worn passages left deliberately unpolished in the wabi-sabi spirit. The long format suits wide walls above a sofa, bed, sideboard or console, as well as hallways and hospitality interiors with a calm, earthy palette.
The gold and bronze areas are painted tones, not metallic leaf.
