Because each bloom is shaped individually, no two petals are quite alike in curve or thickness, which gives the piece a gentle irregularity up close.
The lamps are housed in the base bowl and throw their light up through the flowers, producing a diffused ambient glow instead of a focused downlight. White glass picks up the color of the bulbs inside it, so warm 2700K lamps are recommended: they turn the blooms a creamy tone, while cooler light reads gray. Over a kitchen island or desk, pair it with separate task lighting. For a dimmer effect, you can run it with fewer than the full set of lamps.
At 13 inches across, it suits a round table of roughly 28 to 35 inches, a bedroom, a powder room or an entry, and two can hang side by side above an island. Over a table, aim for 30 to 35 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture.

Care
Turn the fixture off and give the bulbs time to cool before cleaning. Use a feather duster or a dry, soft cloth on the glass, steadying each flower with your free hand as you go. For the brass, a dry soft cloth is enough; skip polishes.
