Three concentric brass rings carry overlapping ovals of swirled glass, each one hung from its own brass pin. The result reads as layered scales rather than a closed drum. Clear glass is threaded with white streaks that sit within the body of each plaque, and no two ovals share the same pattern. Some are nearly clear, others are heavily clouded, and that variation across three tiers gives the fixture its character.
At 26.5" across and 24" deep, the chandelier is almost as tall as it is wide, so it is meant to be seen from the side as well as from below. It suits an entrance hall, a stair landing or a dining room with generous ceiling height, and it will feel heavy under an 8 ft ceiling. The lamps hide behind the innermost tier, so light filters through two or three layers of glass before reaching the room. Expect a warm, broken glow, brighter where the glass is thin and softer where it is dense, with the lowest tier casting the most light downward. It gives warmth and presence rather than flat, even illumination.

- Room sizing: Best in a room of roughly 12 x 14 ft (3.7 x 4.3 m)
- Installation: Chain suspended, with height adjusted by taking out links. The weight exceeds a typical ceiling box, so it requires a load-rated box with a joist or blocking behind it, checked by an electrician in advance. Hang and level the brass frame before adding glass, then place plaques ring by ring starting at the bottom. Plan on two people, and hold the glass by its edges to avoid marks that show when lit.
- Maintenance: Individual plaques lift off their pins for replacement without taking a tier apart
Care
Use a soft brush on the glass, since a cloth tends to snag on the plaque edges and pins. Do not spray any cleaner on the fixture, as it seeps into the fittings and leaves residue. For the brass, wipe with a lightly dampened cloth and dry right away. Avoid metal polish, which strips the satin surface and leaves shiny spots.
