This large chandelier is built around two tiers of curved, hand-poured glass panels set on a wide antique brass frame. Every panel carries milky white marbling formed while the glass was still molten, so no two swirls match. Suspended from three brass chains that meet above, the fixture has a broad, settled presence that feels nearer to a lantern than a traditional chandelier.
Each panel is held in its own brass clip, so the glass catches light piece by piece instead of reading as a single shade. The brass is unlacquered and will darken gradually over the years. Because white swirled glass picks up the tone of the bulb behind it, warm white lamps around 2700K bring out a soft glow, while cooler light tends to make the glass look gray.
