A round drum of solid alabaster sits close to the ceiling, finished at the top by a slender metal ring. The body is cut from one block of stone, so its veining runs around the full circumference without a seam, and no two drums look alike.
With the lamps hidden inside, the entire drum lights up and casts a soft, even glow. Warm white light at 2700K brings out honey and cream tones and makes the veins easy to read, while cooler light flattens the stone to a dull gray. The fixture gives ambient light, so plan on separate task lighting over a kitchen counter or a desk.

Care
Turn the light off and give the lamps time to cool before cleaning. Alabaster is soft and porous, so keep water and any cleaning products away from it and remove dust with a dry, soft cloth. The metal parts need nothing more than a dry cloth as well; skip polish.
