Seen from above, this coastal canvas follows the line where deep blue water thins into pale aqua and breaks into white foam over a curving stretch of warm sand. There is no horizon here. The view stays close, so the eye travels with the water's edge instead of out to sea.
Raised, textured paint gives the seafoam real dimension, and the lower shoreline gathers ivory, sandy brown and soft taupe into a layered, organic surface. The pairing of cool blues with sandy neutrals sits comfortably beside oak, walnut, travertine, limestone, linen and boucle. Side light or daylight will bring out the relief of the brushwork. Because the paint is applied by hand, small differences in color blending and texture make each canvas its own.
