This hand-painted color field canvas lets green carry the whole composition. A broad upper field of olive settles into a heavier band of moss and deep forest tones below, and between them runs a narrow seam of muted yellow-green that reads, from across the room, like light breaking through fog at the edge of the land. The image is abstract, yet the eye finds distance in it anyway.
The palette sits well darker and moodier than pale sage, so it brings weight and calm to a wall without loud color. It looks especially good with cream, camel, walnut, natural oak, black, brass and warm stone. The tall vertical format suits entry walls, the space above a console or bed, and narrow architectural walls.
