This square abstract canvas is built on a warm cream ground swept with broad, pale strokes, then crossed by a lively web of poured and flung paint. Thin black lines shoot across the surface in every direction, ending in round drops and fine spatter, while raised ribbons of white paint loop over them and sit up from the canvas with visible thickness.
Small blocks of color anchor the energy: a glowing orange patch at the right, deep navy and olive green near the center, and a corner of mustard and blue at the lower left. Touches of brick red spatter across the upper left, and a few mustard dots punctuate the tangle.
