Curved Brass Bar Chandelier with Hanging Glass Drops

A softly curved bar carries a row of mouth-blown glass drops, each suspended at its own height on a braided cable, so the fixture reads like a hanging mobile of small lights above a long table or island. Every drop is free-form and slightly different in contour and wall thickness. The shape is a cut-off teardrop, broad at the base and narrowing toward the fitting, with the lamp placed high inside so the lower body of the glass glows like a little lantern.

The gold version uses solid brass for the arch, canopy and hardware, finished without lacquer so it darkens gradually with age. The black version pairs a matte black stainless steel frame with the same glass. Warm white light at 2700K is central to the look: it gives each drop a gentle golden cast and keeps the brass looking rich, while cooler light tends to flatten both.

The light is ambient rather than directional, so over a kitchen island it works best with separate task lighting nearby.

Care

Turn the fixture off and wait until the lamps are cool. Steady each drop with one hand while dusting it with a dry soft cloth or feather duster. For heavier cleaning, use a lightly dampened microfiber cloth on the glass, then dry it. Wipe the brass with a dry cloth only, skipping polish so the patina can form naturally.
