As a guide, pick a length roughly half to two thirds the width of your frame. The 40 cm model works with pieces up to about 80 cm wide, the 55 cm with pieces up to about 110 cm, and the 70 cm with pieces up to about 140 cm. It also reads well above a mirror, along a bookcase or inside a shallow niche.
