Three shades of cognac-tinted glass hang together from a solid brass frame in this pendant, giving a dining table, kitchen island, bar or reception counter more presence than a single light would, without feeling heavy. The glass carries a deep brown-amber color, like a well-aged spirit, and pairs naturally with walnut, leather, dark green and brass. Four arrangements are offered, labeled A through D.
Light passes softly through the tinted glass as an amber glow while more of it falls straight down through the open bottoms onto the surface below. The effect is warm and suited to evening. Warm white lamps at 2700K matter here: they make the cognac glow, while cooler light tends to turn it a flat, muddy brown. Over a kitchen island, plan on additional task lighting.
