This compact pendant takes its shape from an architectural lantern. A glass shade sits at the center, cradled by sweeping brass scrollwork, and the whole piece hangs from a brass chain. Lit or unlit, the warm metal and glass come together as one neat, finished object.
Its modest size makes it a natural choice for an entry, a hallway or beside the bed. Over a kitchen island or a hospitality counter, two or three in a row work well, spaced roughly 24 to 30 in (60 to 75 cm) apart with the bottom of each lantern 30 to 35 in (75 to 90 cm) above the surface. It gives a soft, local glow rather than task light, so pair it with brighter fixtures where you need to work. A warm 2700K bulb suits it best: the glass picks up the color of the light, and cooler bulbs leave the glass looking chilly and the brass dull.

Care
Turn off the light and allow the bulb to cool first. Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For a fuller clean, dampen a microfiber cloth with a little mild glass cleaner and wipe the glass, applying cleaner to the cloth and never directly onto the fixture. Wipe the brass with a dry soft cloth only, avoiding polish and abrasives.
