A heavy cloud of black paint dominates the upper half of this vertical abstract, its edges breaking into rust orange and flecked with small white specks. Beneath it, thick swaths of hot magenta, chalky white and soft pink sweep across the canvas, while long black and white drips run down from the top, trailing through the lighter passages like rain on a window.
The surface is built up in broad, flat strokes with visible ridges, the kind of raised texture that catches light from the side. Pockets of turquoise, cobalt blue, lemon yellow and lime green peek out at the corners and along the bottom edge, keeping the composition lively and loose. It brings bold energy to an entryway, living room or study that can hold strong color.
