Marcelina Furniture Studio

Hotel Furniture for Spain & Europe

Contract-grade, made-to-measure hotel furniture delivered and installed across Spain, the Balearics and Europe. Built for boutique and heritage properties.

We design and manufacture contract-grade hotel furniture in our own factories and deliver it, installed, to Spain and across Europe. Most of our work is with independent and boutique properties — the ones a brand-standard supply chain quotes badly, because there is no repeating room to amortise.

Where we deliver

Spain, including the Balearics and the Canaries, plus France, Germany, Monaco, Montenegro and Romania. Freight, delivery and installation are arranged as part of the commission. Applicable duties and VAT are confirmed in writing on your quote before you commit — we do not leave that to be discovered at the port.

Converted and heritage buildings

Island and old-town projects rarely have repeating room dimensions. A rehabilitated townhouse in Palma, a finca conversion, a hotel carved out of a historic building — standard contract casegoods either do not fit or leave dead space in every room. We build to each room type, and to the access route, which on those projects is usually the real constraint: stair turns, lift depth, a courtyard entrance.

Built for a coastal climate

Salt air corrodes and strong sun fades. For terraces, pool decks and sea-facing rooms we specify teak and other dense oiled hardwoods, powder-coated aluminium and marine-grade 316 stainless for frames and fixings, sealed dense stone, and solution-dyed acrylic over quick-dry foam so cushions drain rather than hold water. The full material logic is in our tropical and coastal materials guide — the failure modes are the same wherever there is salt.

What we supply

  • Guest-room and suite casegoods, headboards, desks and wardrobes
  • Lounge, lobby and reception seating
  • Restaurant and bar furniture, including banquettes built to your floor plan
  • Terrace, pool and outdoor furniture in marine-grade materials

Budgets and lead times

FF&E budgets are usually set per key. Our hospitality page carries real per-key ranges by property tier, and our FF&E page sets out scope, specification and installation. Production runs about 10 to 16 weeks depending on materials and volume, plus freight — so specify during design and order once drawings are frozen.

For architects and designers

If you are specifying on behalf of an owner, our trade programme covers trade pricing, build-to-drawings, presentation renders, samples and scheduling backwards from your handover date.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver hotel furniture to Spain and the rest of Europe?

Yes. We deliver to Spain — including the Balearics and the Canaries — as well as France, Germany, Monaco, Montenegro and Romania. Freight and delivery are arranged by us as part of the commission; the applicable duties and VAT are confirmed in writing on your quote before you commit.

Do you work with independent and boutique hotels?

Independent and boutique properties are most of our work. Every piece is made to order rather than pulled from a catalogue, so there is no brand-standard minimum and no need to order hundreds of identical rooms to get sensible pricing. A 20-key property specifies exactly as a 200-key resort does.

Can you build to a converted or heritage building?

That is where made-to-measure earns its price. Rehabilitated townhouses, fincas and historic buildings almost never have repeating room dimensions, and standard contract casegoods either do not fit or waste the space. We build to each room type — and to the access constraints, which on island and old-town projects are usually the real limit.

What materials suit a Mediterranean coastal property?

The same logic as any salt-air location: teak or other dense oiled hardwoods, powder-coated aluminium and marine-grade 316 stainless for frames and fixings, sealed dense stone, and solution-dyed acrylic over quick-dry foam for anything on a terrace or by a pool. Avoid untreated softwood, plain steel and standard upholstery outdoors.

How long does an FF&E order take?

Production runs about 10 to 16 weeks depending on materials and volume, plus freight. On a refurbishment the sequence that protects your opening date is: specify during design, order once drawings are frozen, build while the property is being finished, install after paint and flooring.

Do you manufacture the furniture yourselves?

Yes — we design the pieces and manufacture them in our own factories, then manage freight, delivery and installation. There is no reseller between your specification and the workshop, which is why an independent property can get contract-grade construction without brand-standard volumes.

Can you work from our architect or designer drawings?

Yes, that is the normal route. Send plans, elevations, finish schedules and any COM fabric direction and we build to them. If the specification is still open we design to your brief and issue drawings for approval — nothing is cut until you sign off.

What warranty applies?

Eighteen months against defects in materials and workmanship, extended to three years on solid-wood pieces. We keep your specification on file, so matching or replacement pieces can be produced later from the same drawings and materials.
