shallow-brass-saucer-dome-pendant-on-slim-rods
Shallow Brass Saucer Dome Pendant on Slim Rods

A wide, shallow dome of brass suspended on slim rods, this pendant relies on its outline and the warm gold of the metal rather than any added ornament. The surface is left plain and the rim finished cleanly, so the fixture reads as a single calm disc above the table.

The lamps sit tucked inside the saucer and point downward. The brass conceals them from view, sending an even pool of light onto the surface below while a gentle glow gathers at the edge. Its low profile keeps views open across a dining room, kitchen or entry. In a large open-plan space, it works best alongside softer ambient lighting elsewhere.

Details

Material: Brass with a plain, warm gold surface

Diameter options: 45 cm (17.7"), 60 cm (23.6"), 75 cm (29.5")

Saucer depth: 15 cm (5.9")

Overall drop: About 80 cm (31.5") from the ceiling

Suspension: Rods supplied in 15, 30 and 45 cm (6, 12 and 18") lengths so the drop can be adjusted during installation; longer or shorter rods available to order

Ceiling height: Over a table or island, suits ceilings of roughly 2.4 to 2.6 m (8 to 8.5 ft)

Sizing guide: 45 cm for tables of about 90 to 120 cm (35 to 47") or as a pair over an island; 60 cm for tables of about 120 to 160 cm (47 to 63"); 75 cm for tables of 160 cm (63") and longer, or an entrance hall

Hanging height: Position the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the tabletop

Light source: E26 or E27 sockets depending on region; warm white 2700K LED recommended; bulbs not included

Weight: About 4 kg (8.8 lb) for 45 cm, 7 kg (15.4 lb) for 60 cm, 9 kg (19.8 lb) for 75 cm

Installation: Hardwired by an electrician; secure the larger sizes to a joist or reinforced blocking

Use: Indoor

Care

Turn the fixture off and allow the lamps to cool before cleaning.
