amber-glass-petal-cluster-chandelier
Amber Glass Petal Cluster Chandelier

Overlapping petals of amber glass gather into a rounded cluster with an Art Deco feel, giving this chandelier real depth from every angle. The color is a rich honey tone, and because each petal was shaped while the glass was hot, no two share exactly the same curve, edge or surface. It pairs well with walnut, dark oak, leather, brass, and walls in deep green or terracotta, and it suits rooms meant to feel warm after dark.

Light moves through the stacked petals and bounces between them, producing a soft ambient glow rather than a focused downlight. Amber gives the warmest and lowest output of the glass colors offered, so if this will be the main light over a table, choose lamps toward the brighter end of the range and consider the dimmable version for evenings. Over a kitchen island or desk, plan for separate task lighting. Warm white at 2700K brings out the honey tone; cooler lamps make the glass read brown and dull.

Details

Materials: amber glass petals on an iron frame in a gold finish, with a matching ceiling canopy

Medium: 65 cm (25.6") wide x 65 cm (25.6") high, about 10 kg (22 lb)

Large: 80 cm (31.5") wide x 80 cm (31.5") high, up to about 18 kg (40 lb)

Suspension: standard 50 cm (19.7") rod; overall drop about 115 cm (45") for the Medium and 130 cm (51") for the Large

Drop options: longer rod or chain for tall ceilings, stairwells and double-height rooms; sloped ceiling adapter available

Lamping: sixteen E14 sockets; recommended 2700K warm white LED, about 2 to 3 W each (175 to 275 lumens), for a total of 2,800 to 4,400 lumens

Bulbs: not included

Dimming: dimmable version available

Installation: hardwired; an electrician should secure it to a joist or reinforced blocking, not a standard ceiling box

Sizing guide: Medium fits tables of roughly 110 to 150 cm (43 to 59") or rooms near 3.5 x 4 m (12 x 13 ft); Large fits tables of 150 cm (59") or more, larger living rooms, entry halls and stairwells

Hanging height: over a table, set the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the surface; with the standard rod this works for ceilings of about 2.7 to 2.9 m (9 to 9.5 ft)

Other options: alternate metal finishes; also offered in pink, clear and green glass

Care

Turn the fixture off and wait until the lamps are cool.
