rippled-aluminum-mesh-sculptural-chandelier
Rippled Aluminum Mesh Sculptural Chandelier

This chandelier turns a sheet of fine aluminum mesh into a loose, rippling sculpture, supported by an iron frame. The folds give the shade its character: where layers overlap, the mesh reads darker and more solid, and where it stays single, you can see straight through. Even the largest size keeps a light, open presence over a table or seating area.

The lamp sits within the folds, so light escapes through the thin areas and is softened by the doubled ones. The result is an uneven, patterned glow that works as ambient light. Choose deep red, soft pinkish rose gold or warm gold. Warm white bulbs at 2700K bring out the color best, giving the red an ember-like depth and the metallics a gentle shine, while cooler light tends to flatten them. For cooking or desk work, plan on separate task lighting.

Details

Materials: Aluminum mesh shade on an iron frame

Colors: Red, rose gold, gold

Diameters: 40 cm (15.7"), 50 cm (19.7"), 60 cm (23.6"), 80 cm (31.5"), 100 cm (39.4")

Suspension: 50 cm (19.7") cable as standard, adjustable in length to suit your ceiling

Bulb type: E26 or E27 LED, warm white 2700K recommended

Weight: About 4 kg (8.8 lb) for the 40 cm size, up to about 10 kg (22 lb) for the 100 cm size

Installation: Hardwired.
